Some will say lineage and team loyalty don’t matter but I beg to differ. I was fortunate enough to learn real #brazilianjiujitsu straight from the source in a basement full of champions and pioneers of the art. I will name a few that I proudly still call teammates , mentors , Professors and Master. @renzograciebjj @rollesgracie @igorgracie @gregorgracie @rgmtnyc @danaherjohn @shawnwilliamsbjj @fabioleopoldo7 @rogergracie @gustavomachadobjj and the list goes on. I guess I was just lucky to have all the knowledge under one roof and that I never felt I had to go somewhere else. I still talk to my old teammates and I would drop everything if they needed me. I am forever grateful to every single roll, advice , hug , shots and laugher they shared with me. I would never dishonor those friendships. Thank you Master @renzograciebjj for building this house this unbreakable house. #renzogracieblackbelt #cabrerabjj photo by @vicegripproductions 🙏

“My scars remind me that I did indeed survive my deepest wounds. That in itself is an accomplishment. And they bring to mind something else, too. They remind me that the damage life has inflicted on me has, in many places, left me stronger and more resilient. What hurt me in the past has actually made me better equipped to face the present.” #hitched #shemakesmesmile #mrscabrera #totoro #portsmouth #annapolismd

“Leaders should never be satisfied. They must always strive to improve, and they must build that mind-set into the team. They must face the facts through a realistic, brutally honest assessment of themselves and their team’s performance. Identifying weaknesses, good leaders seek to strengthen them and come up with a plan to overcome challenges. The best teams anywhere, like the SEAL Teams, are constantly looking to improve, add capability, and push the standards higher. It starts with the individual and spreads to each of the team members until this becomes the culture, the new standard. The recognition that there are no bad teams, only bad leaders facilitates Extreme Ownership and enables leaders to build high-performance teams that dominate on any battlefield, literal or figurative.” #extremeownership #seals #followtheleader #gripstrength #entrepreneur #teamrenzogracie #evolveall #growthmindset #cabrerabjj #cesarcabrerabjj #wolf #brazilianjiujitsu #photographer @emersondoyle #luca
